The Central Oklahoma Chapter will host this shotgun instructional clinic along with the Oklahoma City Gun Club and Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. FREE to all participants and includes lunch.
Learn shotgun basics from safety to shooting techniques. No previous experience necessary. Register the family and those interested in learning shotgun basics with hands on range experience. Minimum Height Requirement to shoot shotguns is 57” tall. No equipment other than weather appropriate clothing, a good mood, and the openness to learn is needed. Do NOT bring personal firearms. Eye protection, ear protection, guns, ammunition, and targets will be provided along with lunch. Must RSVP and fill out liability forms to bring with you.

Back by popular demand, the chapter’s Snake Avoidance Clinic is designed to teach your dog to avoid snakes when encountered. Scheduled for Saturday July 15, 2023 at 7:30 am - 1:00 pm.
New to Upland Bird Hunting and want to learn how? Then this is the event for you! FREE of Charge, the Central Oklahoma 89er Chapter and Prairie Prime LLC is hosting an "all ages" Learn to Upland Hunt for Beginners Clinic on Saturday October 15, 2022.
Event includes:
1. Safety training specific to common upland hunting scenarios;
2. Review equipment commonly used when upland hunting;
3. Learn about different upland game and hunting dog breeds;
4. Warm up shotgun shoot on wobble course;
5. An actual field hunt with a guide and bird dog (s) to experience first-hand how it’s done;
4. Demonstration on cleaning and caring for game birds;
5. Lunch for all attendees
Limited to 25 hunters – must be pre-registered to participate. Requirements:
Participants MUST have taken and passed Hunter’s Safety Class by ODWC or another state, and if over 16, must have an OK hunting license.
Previous shotgunning experience is required.
Attendees must provide their own transportation, blaze orange vest/shirt/hat, suitable field boots, eye and ear protection, shotgun and shotgun shells #8 or #7.5 shot size.
Equipment available if needed like shotguns, etc. so please reach out if needed.
